Doris Marie Ramey

Doris Marie Ramey, 93, went to her Heavenly home at 12:36am, Friday, December 30, 2011, at Provena USMC, Danville. She was born December 29, 1918, to James and Gertrude {Sinkhorn} Cooley in Blount Township, Danville, IL. Doris attended Bunker Hill Grade School and graduated from Henning High School in 1937. She was married to Ralph F. Ramey on February 22, 1942. To this union, a daughter, Judith Ann, was born. She survives, as well as, her sister, Irma Priest of Georgetown, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her grandparents; and her three brothers, Herman, Herald, & Lowell. Doris was a member of the Georgetown Church of the Nazarene. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel, Georgetown, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery.
