Danville, Ill. - Doris McIntyre 73, of Danville, who everyone knew as "Cookie", passed away at 9:56 p.m. CST on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Cookie was born July 23, 1940 in Blue Island, Illinois. She was the daughter of the late Doris Mae Nightlinger, Denzel Brady and stepmother, Betty Crist. She will be deeply missed and is survived by her daughter, Anna Dresden of Prescott Valley, Arizona; daughter, Syrena(Dave)Terry (aka - Kathie) of Chicago, Illinois; son, Mark Kulpa of Perrysville, Indiana; and her youngest daughter (her little angel) Suzanne(Larry)Jackson of Danville, Illinois. Other survivors include her sister, Carol(Stan)Abbott of Renton, Washington; brothers, Robert(Connie)Brady of Winamac, Indiana and Theodore Bell of Renton, Washington; her grandchildren, Raymond (RW), Crystal, Jesse, Tegan, Tabitha, Marissa, Lorelei and Mark; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Special friends include Jack and Pat, as well as Bert and Ed Heidbrider, her closest and longest heartfelt friends. Cookie was retired. She worked many years at Dale's Place, The Labor Club and Help at Home. She enjoyed painting, playing scrabble, spending time on her computer, watching her craft TV shows and spending time with her family and friends. One of her favorite pastimes was watching the animals frolic in the woods and outside her window. A Celebration of Cookie's life will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Forest Glen Preserve, Edgewood Center, east of Georgetown, Illinois from 1 to 7 p.m. CST with a Remembrance Service at 2:30 p.m. CST.
