Doris Lockhart

Doris Irene Lockhart, 75, of Bismarck, passed away at 5:40 am on September 26, 2009 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Doris was born February 6, 1934 in Danville the daughter of John and Ada (Duffey) Allison. She married Robert Eugene Lockhart on July 22, 1956 in Bismarck, IL. He preceded her in death September 17, 1994. Her son: Brian, two sisters; Helen and Dorothy and two brothers; Eugene and Raymond also preceded her in death. Doris is survived by her son; Jeffery (Melody) Lockhart of Oakwood, IL, brothers; Harold Allison of Highland Park, IL, Donald (Carole) Allison of Knoxville, TN, one sister; Betty (John) Quinne of San Anselmo, CA, two grandchildren; Joshua (Shirley) Lockhart of Oakwood, IL, Jonathan Lockhart of Oakwood, IL and five step great-grandchildren. Doris was a homemaker and enjoyed reading the Bible, crocheting, and doing puzzles. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Bible Chapel. A Celebration of Doris Life will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Reverend Herb Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Monday evening, September 28, 2009 and 9:00-10:00 am Tuesday morning, September 29, 2009, at the funeral home.
