Doris L. Junkin

Spring Lake, N.C. -- Doris Loraine Junkin, 88, of Spring Lake and formerly of Covington and Spencer, Indiana, passed away at 4:27 p.m. EDT Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at her residence in Spring Lake. She was born May 26, 1921 in Vermillion County, Indiana the daughter of the late Albert T. and Marvel Hay Hines. She married Gene Junkin. He precedes her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Teachout of Spring Lake, North Carolina; one granddaughter; three great granddaughters; one sister, Jean(Joe)Howard of Covington, Indiana; one brother, Larry(Carole)Hines of Covington and several nieces and nephews. Doris was a homemaker. She was a 1939 graduate of Perrysville High School. Funeral services: 2 p.m. EDT Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Andy Spencer; Burial: Hicks Cemetery in Perrysville, Indiana; Visitation: 1 p.m. EDT Tuesday, September 1, 2009 until time of services at the funeral home.
