Doris Jean Kincaid

Doris Jean Kincaid, 81, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman, IL. She was born the daughter of James Calvin and Ethel Eileen (Wynn) Greer on September 21, 1937 in Louisville, KY. They precede her in death.

Also preceding Doris in death include her beloved husband, Paul Kincaid; one grandson, Chase Griffin; son in law, Charles Ingram; as well as her sister Shirley (Bill) Reynolds.

Doris is survived by her son, Jeff (Peggi) Kincaid; two daughters, Debbie Ingram and Lisa Kincaid; brother, Jim (Carolyn) Greer; sisters, Rosemary (Bob) Bolton and Diana (Rodney) Parrish; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Doris was proudly born in Kentucky but moved to Collison, IL when she was just a little girl. She graduated from Armstrong High School. She met her husband Paul while he was service in the military and stationed at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul. Shortly after meeting Paul they moved to Ridgefarm where they started a family and lived for many years. After many years spent in Ridgefarm, Paul accepted a job in Battle Creek, MI.

Doris had a love for many things. She loved to cook, garden, motorcycling around town with Paul, but most of all she loved her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be missed dearly by her family and the people that loved her.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor James Blue. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Memorial Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Per Doris wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
