Doris J. Erp

Doris J. Erp, 78, of Indianola, formerly of Lincoln, IL, passed away at 12:59am, Monday, October 2, 2023, at Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln, IL. She was born on January 8, 1945, in Florence, Arizona, the daughter of Lamon and Pearl Irene {Lyon} Turner, both deceased. Doris was married to James Ronald Summers until his passing. She later married Orval Erp on February 14, 1996, until his passing. She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Tina) Summers and Terrence "TJ" Summers; her 18 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, James Raymond Summers and Jarrod Thomas Summers; and her stepdaughters, Tonya Erp and Angie Erp. Doris worked as a caregiver and enjoyed taking care of people. She will be remembered fondly by all that knew and loved her. A celebration of Doris life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Pleasant Mound Cemetery, Georgetown.
