Doris Lorraine Hensley Doris Lorraine Hensley, 91, of Danville, passed away at 9:30 pm on February 28, 2008 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, IL. She was born April 14, 1916 in Fountain County, IN, the daughter of John D. and Hope (Cook) Coffing. She married James A. Hensley May 31, 1938 in St. Louis, MO. Family surviving is son, James P. Hensley of Danville, daughter Jane A. Wadsworth of Georgetown, brothers Robert (Barbara) Coffing, John (Shirley) Coffing, and Joe (Sylvia) Coffing, grandchildren Doug (Robin) Wadsworth of Georgetown, Elizabeth (Roxanne) Wadsworth of Washington D.C., and Jared Goldstein of Columbus OH, and two great-grandchildren Blake and Brooke Wadsworth of Georgetown. Her loving husband, parents, and two sisters Lois Cisel and Maxine Abernathy preceded Doris in death. Doris graduated from Perrysville High School in 1936. She was a licensed beautician for several years and was active in the Danville Boat Club. Doris was also was the office manager for her husbands oil Bulk plant from 1950-1965. They moved to Florida in 1975 and returned to live in Danville in July of 1990. She enjoyed knitting, bowling, golfing, and spending time with her family, especially her two great grandsons. A celebration of Doris Lorraine Hensleys life will take place at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the Chapel in Sunset Memorial Park located at 3901 N. Vermilion St. in Danville.
