Doris Fisher

Doris H. Fisher, 89, of Danville, passed away at 10:42 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville. Doris was born on April 25, 1916 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of William and Helen (Denney) Holzwarth. She married Forrest C. Fisher on April 28, 1944 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1997. She is survived by her one son- John F. Fisher of Denver, Colorado; one daughter- Anne (Frank) Young of Danville; one brother- Robert Holzwarth of St. Louis, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Doris graduated from Southside High School in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Danville. She was a member of the Mary and Martha Circle at the church. Doris was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution- Governor Bradford Chapter. She was a member of the Danville Country Club. Doris was an avid reader and enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. Private family service will be held at a later date. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Mary and Martha Circle or to the donors choice.
