Doris Fern Gilbert

Tilton - Doris Fern Gilbert, 58, of Tilton passed away at 12:30 am on Tuesday June 13, 2017 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, IL. Doris was born on July 17, 1958 in Danville, IL the daughter of Robert W. and Betty Marlene (Pichon) Sigler. Doris married George Gilbert, Jr. on May 8, 1987 in Danville, IL and he survives. Survivors include her husband, George Gilbert, Jr. of Tilton, one son, Paul Sigler of Tilton, one daughter, Alpharetta (Rich) Holt of Tilton, IL, one brother, Robert Sigler of Indiana, and one granddaughter, Kyleigh Sigler of Tilton, IL and one grandson, Dylan Batsch of Danville, IL. Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Betty (Pichon) Sigler as well as her step-father, Robert Wills. Doris was very fond of her animals, including her six Boston Terriers, one Rat Terrier, one Husky/German Shepard mix, three cats as well as a variety of other animals. As per Doris' wishes cremation rites will be accorded and Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion Street Danville, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.
