Doris E. Moreland

Doris E. Moreland, 84, of Indianola, passed away on January 16, 2019, at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living, Chrisman, IL. She was born on May 8, 1934 in Green County, IL, the daughter of Kenneth C. and Garnet {Smith} Berry. She was united in marriage to Bill Moreland on September 12, 1953, in Kane, IL, until his passing in 2009.

Doris is survived by: her son, Doug & Laura Moreland; her daughters, Lois (Dan) Cornwell and Tammy (Larry) Walker; her brothers, Larry (Marie Charlene) Berry & Tom (Mary) Berry; her sisters, Carole Terpening & Marilyn (Norman) Daniels; her grandchildren, Megan Cornwell, Sarah Cornwell, Chet (Jamie) Moreland, Ashton Son, Erica (Dusty) Jacobson, & Frank Snoddy; her great grandchildren, Alex & Joseph Son. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Doris loved being a farmers wife and later worked as a bookkeeper for various farmers. She was a member of the Indianola Methodist Church. She enjoyed many things including sewing for family, gardening, and cooking and she was known to be a great cook. Doris and her husband loved traveling together. Doris cherished her family and loved her husband, Bill. Together they loved spending time with family, especially their grandchildren.

A celebration of Doris life will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Indianola Methodist Church, 1 N. High St, Indianola, with David Almy officiating. Visitation will be held at the Church from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Tuesday prior to her service. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola.
