Doris B. Neild

Chrisman, Ill. - Doris B. Neild, 88, of Chrisman and formerly of Danville, Illinois and Cayuga, Indiana passed away at 7:17 a.m. CST Friday, December 25, 2020 at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman, Illinois.

She was born June 5, 1932 in Cayuga, Indiana the daughter of the late James Alfred and Olive (Weaver) Coonce.

Doris married Joesph H. Neild on July 17, 1948 in Cayuga, Indiana. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1991.

Survivors include her granddaughter: Amanda (Clifford) Gauf of Danville, Illinois; three step grandchilden: Mark Cordrey of Danville, Illinois, Stephanie Cordrey of Georgetown, Illinois and Christina (James) Carrier of Veedersburg, Indiana; eight great- grandchildren; nine step great- grandchildren and sister: Judy (John) Gebhart of Eugene, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her daughtter: Debra Macy - October 4, 2018; two sons: Joseph Harlan Neild, Jr (Joby) - July 27, 1997 and Carroll Dean Neild (Speed) - August 21, 1999; step granddaughter: Michelle - 2008; sisters: Norma Wimsett, Mary Millsaps and Margaret Passavage and brothers: Carroll Coonce and Jack Coonce.

Doris was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

Funeral service: 11 a.m. EST Saturday, January 2, 2021 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor John Goldfuss; Burial: Georgetown Cemetery in Georgetown, Illinois; Visitation: 10 a.m. EST Saturday, January 2, 2021 until time of services at the funeral home.
