Doris Andrews

Doris Andrews, 86, of Danville, went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born on March 14, 1929 in Metropolis, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Myrtle Shappard. Doris Married Earl M. Jones who still survives and later Dale Andrews who preceded her in death. Doris will be deeply missed by one daughter, Junie Crippin of Danville, one sister, Betty Alverson of Iowa, grandchildren; Jeremy Alan (Kathy) Crippin, Jennifer (Shane) Crippin, James E. Crippin and Jodie (Andy) Linne, great grandchildren; Jeremy Jr., Armond, Jade, Trip, Rowan, Ethan, Van and August. She was preceded in death by her parents, one husband and three sisters; Norma, Imogene and Corene. Doris was a graduate of Danville High School. She worked at General Electric, Faulstich Printing and owned and managed apartment buildings in Crawfordsville for many years. She was a devout Christian and had a strong faith. A celebration of Doris' life will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Matt Harmless officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM prior to the service on Thursday. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials can be made in Doris' name to the American Cancer Society, American Alzheimer's Association and a hospice of the donor's choice.
