Dorene Bean

Perrysville, Ind. - Dorene Bean, 95, of Perrysville, passed away at 1:10 a.m. EDT Thursday, August 13, 2020 at her sons residence in Dana, Indiana.

She was born March 12, 1925 daughter of the late Jesse and Hazel (Shoaf) Wakeland.

Dorene married John V. Bean April 27, 1944 in Rockville, Indiana. He preceded her in death on September 17, 2006.

Survivors include her daughter: Diana (Steve) Rumple of Brownsburg, Indiana; two sons: Richard (Lynn) Bean of Dana, Indiana and Dwayne Bean of Perrysville, Indiana; one sister: Irene Bassett of Perrysville, Indiana; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, four granddaughter-in-laws and one great-granddaughter-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her parents.

Dorene attended Kingman Schools. She spent her years as a homemaker, and during those years, everyone would always look forward to her home cooked meals...especially those noodles! Dorene loved all animals, but she was particularly fond of sitting and watching the birds. She will also be remembered for her ability to be thrifty. She loved her family and friends deeply, and will be missed dearly.

Graveside service: 11 a.m. EDT Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Lower Mound Cemetery north of Perrysville. There will be no visitation.
