Dora Helen Miller

Dora Helen Miller, 89, of Danville, passed away on December 10, 2015 at her home. Helen was born January 16, 1926 in McAllen, Texas to Antionete and G.C. Gurley Jacobs. She was a member of the Rock Church and had worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital as a surgical nurse. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, special family and her church. Helen married Ross Young Miller on November 25, 1944 in Long Beach, California and he preceded her in death on July 26, 1987. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Miller and two nephews, Duane and Richard Prentice of Danville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and one sister. A celebration of life graveside service for Helen will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Springhill Cemetery and Mausoleum in Danville with Pastor Randy Downing officiating.
