Donna Rice

Donna Rice, 83, of Danville, IL, passed away at 12:20 PM on March 5, 2023 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville, IL.

Donna was born on May 6, 1939 the daughter of Lee Edward and Virginia Louise (Rosnett) Osborn in Watseka, IL. She married Ernest Ray Rice on July 29, 1958 in Hoopeston, IL and he preceded her in death on July 2, 1995.

Survivors include her children, Edward Allen Rice of Danville, IL, Teresa Ann Rice of Danville, IL and Pamela Jo Doud of Bay City, MI, her grandchildren, Charles Edward Rice, Jeremy Allen Rice, Rachel Gaine, Duane Michael Rice, Dustin Kyle Rice and Stacey Daniel Doud, as well as sixteen great grandchildren.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ernest Ray Rice, and her sisters, Elsie Marlene Osborn and Bonnie Lee (Benton) Watts.

Donna was a member of Lone Oak Church of Christ and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, enjoyed listening to music, and watching her television programs.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, Illinois 61834. Raymie Gordon will officiate. Burial will be Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Donnas memory to a charity of the Donors choice.
