Donna Mae Laws

Donna Mae (Hawn) Laws, 75, of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at her son’s home.

She was born May 11, 1949, in Clinton, Indiana, daughter of the late Jessie and Mary Jane (Haworth) Hawn.

Donna married Wiley Laws on March 12, 1972, in Cayuga, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on May 8, 2010. 

Survivors include her sons: Scott Laws and Shane (Tabatha) Laws; her grandchildren: Morgan, Noah, Michael (Britta Conley) Laws and Jaydn (Kammie) Laws; her great-grandchildren: Payton, Waylon and Aislin; two sisters: Jackie (Larry) Moore and Mary Jo Martin; and a brother: Bill Hawn.

Along with her parents, Donna was preceded in death by a brother: Sam Hawn, and a brother-in-law: Billy Martin.

Donna was a 1967 graduate of North Vermillion High School in Cayuga, Indiana. She started working in housekeeping at Provena Hospital in Danville, Illinois, and worked her way up to the position of Telemetry Technician before her retirement. Donna enjoyed gardening and tending to her flower beds. She loved outings with her sisters, and she could never pass by a Goodwill store without stopping in. Most of all, Donna loved spending time with her grandkids, great-grandkids and all her family. 

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has been arranged and there will be no services.
