Donna L. Prather

Perrysville, Ind. - Donna L. Prather, 79, of Perrysville, passed away at 9 p.m. EDT Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Providence Health Care in St. Mary of the Woods, Indiana. She was born January 24, 1937 in Westville, Illinois the daughter of the late Camille and Anna (Thompson) Spezia. Donna married Lawrence "Rodney" Prather on March 20, 1957 in Perrysville, Indiana. He preceded her in death on April 14, 2013. Survivors include her children, Lisa (Darrell) Morgan of Cayuga, Indiana and Jonathan (Christina) Prather of Covington, Indiana; two granddaughters, Elizabeth (Steve) Burrows and Chloe Prather; two great granddaughters, Eleanor "Ellie" and Amelia Burrows and two brothers, Ron Spezia and John (Nancy) Spezia, both of Danville, Illinois. Donna was a full time homemaker. She was a member of the Perrysville United Methodist Church, 50 year member of the Perrysville Chapter #302 O.E.S., Perrysville Homemakers Club, Illiana Genealogical Society and was active with the Vermillion County Library Board. Donna was a 1955 graduate of Bismarck High School. She enjoyed restoring antiques, playing cards, genealogy, traveling, reading, gardening, raising flowers and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Funeral services: 10 a.m. EDT Saturday, May 7, 2016 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Mike Earlywine and Rev. Jason DEan; Burial: Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, Illinois; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Friday, May 6, 2016 at the funeral home.
