Donna M. Kelley, 67, of Danville, passed away on March 5, 2009 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. Donna was born May 12, 1941 in Danville the daughter of Donald and Helen (Gerlach) Graham. Her long time companion, Jim Hardy, survives her: along with his children: Tammy & Trudy, and grandchildren: Phillip, Patrick, Hunter, & Kyle. Her daughters: Jenifer (Greg) Crisp and Cynthia Shoemaker both of Boswell, IN; sons: Christopher Shoemaker of Boswell, IN, and Mark A. (Teri) Shoemaker of Otterbein, IN; grandchildren: Brady Crisp(Companion: Heather), Keith Kirsch, Jesi (Chris) Martin, Samantha Shoemaker(Companion: Joe), Alexis Shoemaker, Madison Rennaker, Dalton Rennaker, Samuel Jackson, and Michaela Shoemaker; great-grandchildren: Landyn Martin, Braylon Crisp (yet to be born); sister: Marlene (Bob) Tucker of Danville, IL; brothers: Terry (CindyKay) Graham of Avon, IN & Dennis (Jane) Graham of Canton, MI; aunts: June Graham & Georgette (Cletus) Windler and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, a son, J. Michael Shoemaker and two brothers Doug & Keith preceded her in death. Donna was a 59 graduate of Schlarman High School and a 62 graduate of Holy Cross Central School of Nursing in South Bend, Indiana. She worked as a registered nurse until retiring, to be able to care for her own parents. She also was a patient advocate most of her career. Donna was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church in Danville for a number of years. She enjoyed playing Piano, shopping, flower gardening, genealogy and doll collecting. But, most of all her beloved Children, Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm CDT, Monday, March 9, 2009 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Dunnington, Indiana with Father Donald Gross and Father Greg Nelson officiating. Her Body will lie in state 1 hour prior to the Funeral Mass. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Dunnington, IN. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm CDT Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL.
