Donna Kay Yanders

Donna Kay Yanders, 75, of Danville, passed away at 4:01pm, Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville, IL. She was born on December 25, 1946, in Danville, the daughter of Lenard Earl and Rosemary {Vandiver} Allen Sr.

She is survived by her children, Robin Jackson & Michelle Jackson, both of Danville; her grandchildren, Hope, Dustin, Cassidy, Stetson, Dakota, Jacob, Ashley, Donvan, & Ashton; her great grandchildren, Mandlyn, Gwyenver, & Qoraline; her siblings, Sharon (James) Pierce & Gloria (Richard) Hufford; her sister-in-law, Phyllis Allen; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Jamie Yanders; her brothers, Leonard Allen Jr. & Danny Allen Sr.; and her nieces, Renee Wright & Brittany Janee Allen.

Donna loved going camping, especially at Forest Glen & Sparkling Springs Club. She also enjoyed watching dirt racing with her family as well as gathering with all of them for the holidays. She enjoyed people as no one was a stranger to her. She also loved to cook especially fried chicken. Being outdoors was her favorite thing to do as well as visiting pawn shops and listening to music. Donna lived for her family and was always there for her kids and grandchildren. She enjoyed life to the fullest and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Donnas strength was unending as she battled through her sickness and her family stood by her as well as the staff at Accolade Nursing Home in Danville. The family is grateful for their care during her stay.

A celebration of Donnas life will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, Illinois 414 S State St. Westville, Illinois 61883 with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, Danville.
