Donna Jean Messenger

Covington Donna Jean Messenger, 90, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at The Waters of Covington. She was born on August 2, 1932 in Tilton, IL to Donald and Myrtle (Barrett) Moss. Donna married Robert Eugene Messenger on December 30, 1950 in Danville, IL.

Donna is survived by her children Michael Messenger and Raymond Messenger; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Debra Hayes; brothers Bernard Moss and Richard Moss.

Donna enjoyed bowling league, camping, planting flowers, and yard sales. She was always willing to help those in need.

Visitation will be held from 4-6pm on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion Street Danville, Illinois, 61834. Service will be held at 9:30am on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Danville National Cemetery.
