Donna Horton

Donna Horton, 68, of Danville passed away on Monday, August 29, 2011 in Oakwood. She was born on October 24, 1942, in Danville, the daughter of Marion and Pauline (Mains) Brown. Both are deceased. She is survived and will be missed by her two sons; Jerry (Renee) Horton of Danville, Todd (Lori) Horton of Alvin, and Amy (Tony) Hume of Oakwood. Her fourteen grandchildren; Joei Hughes Josh (Brooke) Hughes, Sherri Hughes, Tyler Horton, Katie (Brandon Pundt) Horton, Jacob Horton, Lucas Horton, Dustin Hume, Logan Hume, Samuel Horton, Grace Horton, Amanda, Kayla, and Andrew Long also survive her as well as her six great-grandchildren; Lyrik Talbert, Zander Hughes, Amayah Hughes, Dani Hughes, Ethan Hughes, Kiah Linn Clark, one son-in-law; Rodney Hughes, and her special friends; Angie Horton, Helen and Lee Garcia,Charlotte, Kristi, Tootsie, and Mikenzie. In addition to her parents, her daughter; Terri (Horton) Hughes preceded Donna in death. She worked at Americana (North Logan) Nursing Home in Danville as a ward clerk. She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends, going to the river boat Casinos, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved dog "Molly". She will be missed by all that knew her. The Horton family would like to thank the Carle Hospice Staff for their kind, caring support during their mother's illness. A Celebration of Donnas' Life has been scheduled for 2:00pm on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville with burial to follow at Atherton Cemetery in Danville. Visitation for family and friends will be from 12:00pm on Thursday, September 1, 2011, until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
