Donna G. Sharpf, 69, of Fithian passed away at her home on August 28, 2016. Donna was born the daughter of Delbert and Totsye Cunningham on January 16, 1947 in Danville. Donna married William Sharpf on August 26, 1964 in Danville. He preceded her in death on August 28, 2008. Donna left behind her son Patrick (Kara) Sharpf of Danville; two grandsons, Sloan Sharpf of Danville and Evan Wangler of Danville; one granddaughter Matte Wangler of Danville; one sister, Beverly (Cunningham) Brown, of Geneva, IL; one nephew, Scott Brown; and one niece, Lynsye (Brown) Peeples. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Thomas Sharpf, one brother in law Donald Brown, and many aunts and uncles. Donna's passion was teaching children of all ages. She loved teaching the children in her Sunday School class. She First worked as a Teacher's Aide in 1967 in Texas while her husband Bill attended and played football at University of Texas El Paso. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren, family, and friends. The day Sloan was born was a dream come true for Donna. She took time-out from teaching to be a fulltime "Nana". She was blessed again later to get two more grandchildren in marriage, Matte and Evan to enjoy. She was always at every sporting and school event. She was their biggest fan. We know she will continue to enjoy watching them from up above. She frequently spent time with her sister Bev. They stayed up late many a night laughing and reminiscing about family reunions, favorite vacations that always included the beach, and destinations she wanted to see. Donna loved the Lord and walked in his light by being a spiritual witness to her children. She lifted them and directed them to the Lord. She touched many people's lives in such a positive inspiring way. Her family and friends Thank the Lord for the time we had her here on earth and know she is with you now.
