Donna Faye Berry

Donna Faye Berry, 85, of Georgetown, passed away at 3:36pm, Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at North Logan Health Care, Danville. She was born on October 30, 1932, in Dundas, Illinois, the daughter of Edward Stark and Lillie Bennett Stark. She was united in marriage to Donald W. Berry on January 27, 1951, in West Liberty, IL. He will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by: her daughters, Peggy (Robert) Kelley and Pam (Dan) Blankenbeckler, both of Georgetown; her brother, James Newman of Festus, MO; her grandchildren, Holly (Dennis) Howard of Georgetown and Lucas (Bridget) Kelley of West Lafayette, IN; and her great granddaughter, Madelaine Kelley. She is also survived by her "Guardian Angel". She was preceded in death by: her father; her mother; her stepfather, George Newman; and her sister-in-law, Joyce Newman. Donna worked at Pinecrest School in Georgetown as a cook for 18 years. She was a faithful member of Georgetown United Methodist Church and was a true helper of their prayer chain. She enjoyed volunteering at the Georgetown Fair every year for several years. Donna also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, traveling, playing Bunco, and cards. She was also known to be a great cook. Above all else, she loved her family and cherished spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of Donna's life will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, March 16, 2018, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E. West Street, Georgetown, with Pastor Matt Filicsky officiating. Visitation will be 11:00am to 1:00pm on Friday prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum, Danville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her name to Georgetown United Methodist Church, 400 N Main St, Georgetown.
