Donna Canady

Donna M. Canady, 67, of Danville passed away at 8:10 P.M., Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home in Tilton. She was born May 3, 1940 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Paul R. and June J. (Snider) Davis. Donna married Richard G. Canady on July 23, 1967 in Danville. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1997. She is survived by one brother Jerry (Carrie) Davis of Randle, Washington and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Neal Phillip Davis. Donna was a graduate of Danville High School. She was the secretary at the Hotel Wolford from 1959-1967 and in 1972. Donna was a member of Central Christian Church where she was active in the Co-Wed Class and the Rebecca Group of CWF Fellowship of the church. She was also a member of Iris Chapter #307, Order of Eastern Star, Achsah Shrine #65, Danville Kennel Club, and Vermilion County Museum Society. Donna was a Fighting Illini football fan with many fond memories of the crowd in row 65. A celebration of life for Donna M. Canady will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Central Christian Church, 1101 N. Vermilion St., Danville with Reverend Deborah Owen officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Monday, September 17, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion, Danville. Order of Eastern Star services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Donnas name to the Diabetes Association or to the Vermilion County Animal Shelter.
