Donald Weil

Donald Weil, 92, of Georgetown passed away on November 20, 2020 at OSF in Danville. Don was born on December 19, 1927 in Detroit Wayne County, Michigan the son of Ralph and Bernice (Tuchewicz) Weil. Don married Betty Lou Jenkins on August 28, 1958 in Michigan. She preceded him in death.

Surviving Don are his children, Nancy (Bob) Michael, Janet Weil and Gary (Kay) Boggess, ten grandchildren, Tina Corrington, Robert Jones, Robert Michael II, Janet (Rick JR) Dailey, Jason (Ambrosia) Weil, Darin Weil, Debbie (Vince) Immordino, Brian Boggess, Patty (Neil) Callahan and Cindy Boggess, ten great grandsons and fourteen Great granddaughters, one brother James (Dorothy) Weil, a special friend Audrey Allison. Don also had a special relationship with each and every one of his nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son Don II, one brother Ralph and a grandson Jeffrey Michael.

Don enjoyed being busy in his shop working on items for people. He like to line dance, going on rides and trips to see family and friends. He loved to go on rides on his Harley anytime he could and anywhere he was able. Don was a founding member of the Georgetown Sportsmens Club. Don served our Country during WWII and was a proud Veteran. Most of all Don loved his family and spending time with all the people he loved.

Because of Covid-19 the family will have a private celebration on Monday November 30, 2020 for Don and he will be laid to rest at the Danville Nation Cemetery with his wife. A Visitation will be held on Saturday November 28, 2020 and Sunday November 29, 2020 3-7 both days at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846. Ten people allowed in at a time with social distancing and masks are requested.
