Donald St. Pierre, 95, passed away on Thursday, January 07, 2020 at Gardenview Manor in Danville. He was born on June 19, 1925 the son of Joseph and Fern St. Pierre in Vandalia, IL.
Donald is survived by one son, Donald (Mary) St. Pierre; grandchildren, Madonna, Jessica, Candace, and Leah; great grandchildren, Anjali, Ava, Nevaeh, Bentley, and Liam.
Preceding Donald in death include his wife of 67 years, Anna; both parents, four sisters; one brother; and grandson, Donnie.
Donald served in the United States Navy during WWII on LST. After serving his country he worked on the railroad for Penn-Central, Conrail, and Union Pacific as a brakeman. He later worked as a bus driver for Greyhound, Continental Trailways, and the city of Danville. He spent some of his life as a city Policeman working in Covington, IN and Buckeye, AZ, and as a prison guard in Florence, AZ. He also worked as a Private Guard for Barry Goldwaters private airplane in Phoenix, AZ.
Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 has been entrusted with arrangements. There will be a private family entombment in Sunset Memorial Park.
