Alvin Donald Lorn Siddens, 86, of Alvin passed away at 4:55 PM on April 12, 2022 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.
Donald was born on September 19, 1935 the son of Erville Lorn and Opal Lorena (Williams) Siddens in Bismarck, IL. He married Betty Marie Evans on August 29, 1958 in Alvin, IL and she survives.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Marie Siddens, his children, Malinda Pyles of Thorntown, IN, Nancy Siddens of Lincoln, IL, John (Paula Hannaford) Siddens of Bismarck, IL, Lisa (Mike) Carnahan of Oakwood, IL, Kay Ann (Tony) Billingsley of McLean, IL, James Siddens of Alvin, IL and Amanda (Donnie) Bowman of Lincoln, IL, twenty grandchildren, Ryan (Rachel) Pyles, Melissa Pyles, Larissa Siddens, Amber (Brent) Hunsley, Megan Siddens, Heather (Ryan) Van Amburg, Samantha (Daniel Drake) Siddens, Ryan Hannaford, Erin Hannaford, Kyle Carnahan, Zachary Carnahan, Mariah Carnahan, Hannah Billingsley, Matthew Billingsley, Karissa Bowman, Andrew Bowman, Jenna Bowman, Myah Bowman, Colby Bowman and Micah Bowman, six great grandchildren, Owen Pyles, Michela Pyles, Julia Pyles, Emerson Van Amburg, Leighton Drake and Lyric Drake, one sister, Claribel Siddens of Danville, IL, two sister-in-laws, Martha Siddens of Bismarck, IL and Linda Siddens of Tampa, FL.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Janet Sue Siddens, three brothers, Robert Dale Williams, Leon Siddens and Richard Siddens, two sisters, Medora Siddens and Shirley Bratton and one son-in-law, Dean Pyles.
Donald was a member of the Second Church of Christ in Danville, IL. After graduating high school, he served in the United States Army then worked for the C&EI Railroad and later retired from Hyster. He enjoyed spending his free time attending his grandchildrens sporting events, traveling, going camping, "watching people", and was always a practical jokester.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the Alvin Christian Church, 109 Center Street, Alvin, Illinois 61811. Greg Taylor will officiate. A 12:00 Noon (CST) Graveside Committal Service will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at West Lebanon Cemetery in West Lebanon, IN. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center located at 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Donalds memory to Hanging Rock Christian Assembly, Inc. in West Lebanon, IN.
