Donald E. "Don" Moulton, 83, of Danville, passed away at 6:45 pm Saturday May 22, 2004 at the VA Illiana HCS in Danville. Don was born February 14, 1921 in Danville the son of the late James and Emma (Freese) Moulton. Don married Ruby M. Irwin on December 20, 1940 in Danville and she survives of Danville. Other survivors include 1 daughter Donna (Steve) Hicks of Memphis, TN and a granddaughter Amanda Hicks of Jacksonville N.C. Special caregivers Anna Mae Shoemaker and Sam Greene both of Danville. 2 brothers Les and Virgil, and 2 sisters Helen Shaffer and Evelyn Camp preceded Don in death. Don served his country proudly in the US Army Air Corps during WWII as a gunner for the 12th Air Corps. Don flew 26 missions on an A-26 plane in the European Campaign. After the war Don worked out of the Local # 841 Operators and Engineers office as a heavy equipment operator and retired in the late 80's. Don also had done some farming. Don was a member of the Cedar Grove Church of the Nazarene where he was very active. Don was a member of the DAV. Don loved to winter with Ruby in Ruskin, Florida and to grow his garden.
