Donald Miller

Donald C. Miller, 67, of Bismarck, passed away at 10:58p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2008 at his residence. He was born on July 14, 1941 in Lexington, KY the son of Carl M. and Jane E. (Shearer) Miller. Donald married Mary E. (Liz) Woodrum on January 8, 1961 in Midway, Kentucky. She survives. He is also survived by two sons, Todd (Brenda) Miller of Danville and Kent (Dana) Miller of Marshall, IL, one daughter Carla (Greg) Wersich of Evansville, IN, eight grandsons, Jacob, Lucas, and CJ Miller, Aaron and Chris Lewellyn, Morgan, Colan, and Nolan Miller, two granddaughters, Libby and Katie Wersich, three brothers, Richard (Louise) Miller of Ocala, FL, Fred (Ilene) Miller of Denver, CO and Melvin Miller of Lexington, KY, two brothers-in-law, James (Betty) Woodrum of Nicholasville, KY and Albert (Melba) Woodrum, of Frankfort, Ky. Don worked as a Manager for ADM, retiring with 25 years of service in July, 2003. He was both a Licensed Auctioneer and Real Estate Agent and was honored several times as an outstanding salesman. Don was a member of Farmers Chapel United Methodist Church of Danville, IL and The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He was a 32nd degree mason, belonging to the Constellation Lodge #748 F&AM, Evansville, IN , Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Evansville, and member of the Vermilion County Farm Bureau. Don enjoyed winters in Florida where he and Liz did a lot of fishing. He also enjoyed antiques, old car shows, but his biggest joy was his family and his church. A celebration of life for Donald C. Miller will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Farmers Chapel, with Pastor Glenn Huffman officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4-8p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion, St. Memorials may be made in Dons name to Farmers Chapel.
