Donald Lucas

Donald W. Lucas, 55, of Danville, passed away at 12:26am on Friday, January 9, 2009 at Provena USMC in Danville. Don was born on March 28, 1953 in Danville, the son of Bill and Shirley (McCarley) Lucas. He is survived and will be missed by his parents, Bill and Shirley Lucas, of Danville, and his brother, Richard Lucas, of Cincinnati, Ohio. Don graduated from Bismarck-Henning High School and enlisted into the United States Navy in 1971, spending most of his time on Nuclear Submarines, until retiring in 1993 with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. After the service, Don returned back home, and begin bar tending, which he truly enjoyed. His hobbies included, playing pool, gardening, and tinkering around the home.
