Cayuga, Ind. - Donald L. Chew, 89, of rural Cayuga, passed away at 2 a.m. EDT Monday, August 17, 2015 at Clinton Gardens in Clinton, Indiana. He was born July 2, 1926 in rural Cayuga, Indiana, the son of the late Raymond Lenox and Pearl Gannon Chew. Donald graduated from Cayuga High School with the class of 1944. He served in World War II with the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Marshall, a destroyer. He was a farmer his entire life. Don married Martha "Teal" Foreman on November 19, 1960 at Lindsey Chapel Friends Church in rural Cayuga, Indiana. She survives. Also surviving are tow sons, Dennis(Connie)Chew of Cayuga, Indiana and Dean(Debbie)Chew of Covington. There are three grandchildren, Bethany Chew, Hannah(Fiancee` Chad Belser)Chew and Riley Chew. Don was preceded in death by his infant daughter and twin granddaughters, Katherine and Jan Chew. Donald lived in rural Cayuga his entire life and was a member of Lindsey Chapel Friends Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, riding his 4-wheeler and working. He also loved his cat, socks. Thompson; Burial: Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana; Visitation: 10 a.m. EDT Thursday, August 20, 2015 until time of services at the funeral home.
