Donald Morman, 78, of Danville, Illinois passed away in his home on December 2, 2023. He was born in the same city on June 17, 1945 to Verlon "Buck" and Wilma (Ray) Morman, both of whom precede him in death. He spent 58 years of his life with Penny Sue Saunders, whom he married on March 5, 1965 in Oakwood, Illinois. She will miss Donnie dearly.
Along with his wife, Donnie is survived by many other loving family members, including his children Donnie Jr (Christine) and Bryan (Stephanie); grandchildren Tessa (Caleb) Gossett), and Kaylee, Abbie, Raegen, and Emma Morman; a great-grandson Jaxson Gossett; and his siblings, Sandy Sherman and Thomas Morman.
Preceding him in death are Donnies parents, brother Danny Morman, and sister Sheila Smith.
Donnie worked for many years as a carpenter for R&T Construction. In his spare time, he most enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was very proud of his lawn that he kept neatly mowed and liked going to see movies. Donnie also loved taking his granddaughters to breakfast for a tall stack of pancakes; he adored all five of them and his great-grandson as well. They are forever his greatest joy.
A private Celebration of Life for Donnie will be held by the family at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, IL, 61834. Please join us in remembering Donnies life by posting pictures, videos, and memories to his tribute wall on sunsetfuneralhome.com. Any memorial donations in his name may be made out to the COPD Foundation or Vermilion County Animal Shelter.
