Donald L. Bunch

Donald L. Bunch, 88, passed away on March 13, 2021 in Champaign. Donald was born in Perrysville, IN on February 15, 1933 the son of Donald and Ruby Bunch.

Donald is survived by his sisters, Katherine L. Clark, Molly Farrell, Sally Sue Bloomfield, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John E. Bunch, William A. Bunch; sisters, Phyllis I, Lawrence, and Donna J. Reffiet.

Donald retired after 40 years of service in meat inspection, 20 of which was spent with the State of Illinois. He is a veteran of the United States Navy.

Donald was a member of IMCA Sprint Car Racing from 1961 to 1967. He has been a member of DABA since 1970 and member of the ABC Bowling Association for over 40 years where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1994. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing his guitar.

A Celebration of Donalds life will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Visitation will be held prior from 10am to 11am at the funeral home.
