Donald G. Gildersleeve, 66, of Danville passed away at 4:24pm Friday August 19 2005 at Provena United Samaritan Medical Center. He was born May 18, 1939 in Danville, the son of Harold E. and Clara E. (Neighbor) Gildersleeve. He married Harriet L. Dreher on March 29, 1963 in Danville. Survivors include his mother, wife, one son; David M. (Jo) Gildersleeve of Blaine Minnesota, two daughters Paula D. Drummond of Danville and Shelia E. Gildersleeve of Denham Springs, Louisiana, two granddaughters; Diana L, Gildersleeve and Kayla E. Drummond, both of Danville, two brothers; Larry L. (Denyse) Gildersleeve of Haines City, Florida and Charles H. (Ruth) Gildersleeve of Janesville, Wisconsin, several nephews and nieces, and one very special niece Tana (Mark) Webber of Alton, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Raymond. Donald worked for Britt Airways in his early years, then Heatcraft retiring with 36 years of service, and then with Securitas Security. He was past president of American Legion Little League. Donald provided for his family to the best of his ability, especially for his two precious granddaughters.
