Donald F. Myers

Donald F. Myers, 70, of Danville passed away on Sunday October 27, 2019 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born on August 25, 1949 the son of Merritt and Alice (Curry) Myers in Danville. They precede him in death.

Donald leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Diana Myers; sons, Shane (Patti) Myers and Nick (Amy) Myers; daughter, Jamie (Patrick) Bolser; grandchildren, Aniston and Ella Myers, Mayzee and Brody Myers, and Tyler and Trenton Treadway; as well as one brother, Captain James Myers of Tucson, Az.

Donald enjoyed golfing, he especially loved golfing with his three golfing buddies; Kenny Winn, Steve Downing, and Tom Lane. He also enjoyed fishing, and even won several fishing tournaments. Donald also found time every day to walk the mall with his best friend, Tom Norton. Donald loved his family; he loved spending time with the grandchildren and loved to watch them play sports. He will be missed by family and his many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor Jon Neal. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Danville National Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4, 2019. Memorial donations may be made in Donalds name to any Cancer charity of your choice.
