Donald E. Pate

Donald E. Pate, 65, of Danville, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL. He was born on February 14, 1956, in Danville, IL, the son of Donald and Lucille (Goad) Pate. Donnie was united in marriage for 47 years to Cindra "Cindy" (Brown) Pate. He will be dearly missed by, loving wife, Cindy Pate; Brother, Dwain (Dottie) Pate; sister, Brenda (Gary) Robinson; Special in laws, Everett (Sheila) Brown, Danny (Nancy) Brown, Sandy (Marty) Malan and Brenda (David) Smith; Donnie is also survived by many nieces nephews, great nieces, great, nephews and his loving companion, Lucy. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Donna and Janice, brother, Jerry. Donnie is also preceded in death by his special long time friend, Cy Austin. Donnie worked as a truck driver for Coca Cola, Jack in Box and Richards Austin Trucking Company. He cherished spending time with his family and friends. He loved country music karaoke and camping, he always enjoyed getting to hang out with his campground family. Per Donnies wished he will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois, 200 E.
