Donald E. Mccurdy

Cayuga, Ind. -- Donald E. McCurdy, 73, of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away at 4:45 p.m. EDT Wednesday (August 2, 2006) at his residence in Cayuga. He was born January 13, 1933, in Boonville, Indiana, the son of the late James and Arleva Hart McCurdy. He married Donna McMasters on June 13, 1959 in Montezuma, Indiana. She Survives. Other survivors include: one daughter, Denise Renee (John) Patton of Kingman, Indiana; two grandchildren, Brayden and Regan Woodard and two step grandchildren, Alan Patton and Stacey Stein. He is preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Pehling, Laura Jones and Betsy DeVore; four brothers, Bert, Charles, Fredrick and Carl McCurdy and a special aunt who raised him, Edith Farthing. Donald was a 1952 graduate of Cayuga High School. He was a 22 year veteran of the United States Army, retiring in 1974. He retired from Pinkerton Security out of Peoria, Illinois in 1996.
