Donald 'Don' J. Elliott

Donald Don J. Elliott, 75 of Danville, passed this Life on Saturday morning, August 14, 2010 at his residence with his wife and family by his side. He was born on April 18, 1935, in Danville, the son of Ottis Loren and Helen Mayme (Evans) Elliott. On June 12, 1955, Don married Bette Joann Anglemyer in Danville. She survives along with their six children, Randy Gene (Linda) Elliott of Danville, Karen Elizabeth Elliott of Jacksonville, IL, Carl Lee(Charla)Elliott of Westville, Donna Marie (Brad) Brown-Chezem of Danville, Donald Jean Elliott Jr. of Danville, and Todd Garfield Elliott of Danville. His 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Loren Elliott of Danville, and Jerry (Cheri) Elliott, of Hilleary, also survive Don. His parents, and one brother, Robert A. Elliott preceded Don in death. Don was a 1953 Danville High School graduate and a 50 year union sheet metal worker for Birelines of Danville. He was an active member of the Danville Alliance Church, and church treasury committee member for the past ten years. He was a St. Louis Cardinal, and Bill Elliott NASCAR fan. Don was a people person who never met a stranger. Family was everything to him and he would always put others before himself. Don will be missed by all that knew him. A Celebration of Donald Elliotts Life will begin at 12:00pm on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, located at 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville with internment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00am until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
