Donald Dean Pratt Sr.

Donald Dean Pratt Sr., 94, of Champaign, passed away at Carle Foundation Hospital on Sunday, August 4, 2024. He was born in Champaign on December 15, 1929, the son of Jesse and Cora (Knott) Pratt. On May 17, 1952, Donald married the love of his life, Marjorie Williamson, and they have spent 72 wonderful years together, she survives.

Also surviving are daughter, Julie Pratt, son, Miles (Sally) Pratt, and grandchildren, Ivan and Sean Pratt.

Donald is preceded in death by his son, Donald D. Pratt Jr.

After graduating high school Donald served in the United States Air Force. After an honorable discharge from the service, he began his career as a mechanical engineer, working for over 40 years before retiring. Donald enjoyed woodworking, airplanes, and reading a good book in his spare time. He also loved to watch the Chicago Bears and Illini Sports.

Donald will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
