Doloris Ann Edwardsbratton

Dolores Ann Edwards Bratton of Westville passed away at 10:12 pm Friday September 2, 2011. She was born on August 23, 1936 the daughter of Carl and Sophia Grzelak Edwards at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, IL. Those who will miss her are her son Larry (Maria) Joseph Bratton of Oakwood, her grandchildren; Larry Joseph Bratton II of Peoria and Laikin Marie Bratton of Catlin whom she loved both dearly and dedicated her life to. Also her two brothers Raymond Frank (Tommy Jean) Edwards and Sonny Edwards both of Westville. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Patricia Edwards. Dolores was previously employed by GE- Valmont and retired from Nacco in Danville. She was a wonderful grandmother and enjoyed every minute of the time she was able to spend with them. Dolores was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westville; she attended grade school at St. Mary's Catholic school and graduated from Westville High School. She was an avid Fisherwoman and loved to hunt mushrooms, special thanks goes to Critter (Darin Duitsman) and to all family and friends who helped with Dolores during her illness. Memorials may be made in her name to Domestic Violence Prevention at the YFRC or facility of choice treating Brain Trauma Injuries. A funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am Friday September 9, 2011 at St Mary's Church in Westville with Father Timothy Sauppe officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Resurrection Cemetery in Danville. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
