Covid-19 has claimed yet another loved one. Colonial Manor nursing home resident, Dee Wilder, has gone from the darkness into the light on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at 2:12pm at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, Illinois. The 90-year-old from Catlin, Illinois passed peacefully from this world into the next, with family by her side. She was born in 1930 to Charles and Emma (Orlea) Ghibaudy. Raised in Westville with her only sibling Emma Lou (Ghibaudy) Dunham who preceded her in death May of this year. Dee attended Westville schools until graduating in 1948; she worked as a secretary for Finney & Company CPA and in the offices of G.E. She worked many years as a sales represenative for Avon Cosmetics in the district of Catlin, IL. Dee was married to Floyd Wilder and together they raised six children; Debra (Dennis) Hall of Kokomo, IN., Carla (Bill) Mofield of Lexington, MO., Jeff (Karen) Wilder of Lewisburg, TN., Lisa (Frank) Nelson of Danville, IL., Jerry (Celeste) Wilder of Oak Forest, IL. and Douglas Wilder of Chicago, IL. She was the proud grandmother to thirteen grandchildren ages 49-28 and great grandmother to fourteen great grandchildren ages 28 -3 weeks old. Sadly, she did not have the opportunity to hold baby Finn in her arms. Dee leaves behind seven nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and even a few great greats. She leaves cousins, good friends and sister -in-law Marilyn Wilder and her bestie Shirley Supancic of Danville, IL. Even with her big family and union to Floyd of many years, she still found time for her beloved crafting.
