Dolores Polancyak

Dolores J. Polancyak of Park Forest, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2023 at the age of 91 at Delmar Gardens Skilled Nursing Facility in OFallon, Missouri. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Richard J. Polancyak, eldest son, Timothy J. Polancyak, and her parents, Peter and Antoinette Perona. Dolores attended St. Marys Catholic School in Westville, IL and Schlarman (Academy) High School in Danville, IL, (Class of 1950). After high school, Dolores attended Nurses Training in Champaign, IL, where she became a Registered Nurse. Dolores served proudly as a nurse for many years at local Danville area hospitals as well as the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville. Dolores leaves behind a loving family, her son, Peter (Valerie) of Weldon Spring, Missouri and two grandchildren, Nathan and Reagan, and many beloved relatives, friends, and neighbors. Dolores was a member of St. Irenaeus Parish of Park Forest since 1958. Funeral services will be held at St. Marys Catholic Church, 231 N State St, Westville, IL. A visitation will be held at 10 am prior to the Memorial Mass that will begin at 11 am on Saturday August 12, 2023. Dolores will be laid to rest at Spring Hill Cemetery, Danville. In lieu of flowers, Mass Offerings or donations to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, Shriners Hospitals for Children, or the local Humane Society or Animal Shelter would be greatly appreciated.
