Bismarck - Dolly J. Amos, 71, of Danville passed away at 8:16 PM on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born on February 27, 1943 in Danville to Lee Edward and Martha Marie (Leeper) Harper. She married Homer F. Amos on July 8, 1961 in Danville. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2009. She is survived by two daughters, Penny (Ricky) Boyd of Portage, IN and Donna (Bill) Murray of Gonzales, LA; four siblings, Milton “Cricket” Harper, Betty (Robert) Elliott, Martha “Marty” Parson, and Barbara “Barb” Harper; three grandchildren, William Joshua Carrigan, Margeaux Nikkole Murray, and Delaney Jane Murray; and three great-grandchildren, Abagayle Jean Carrigan, William Clayton Carrigan, and Audrey Mae Moran. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. Dolly was an avid reader and enjoyed watching wrestling and spending time on Facebook. She also liked jewelry, collecting dolls, and birds. Dolly loved the Lord and always had a good relationship with God. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Dolly Amos will be held at 2 PM on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Johnson Cemetery in Danville. Reverend James Blue will officiate. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
