Dolly Doris Wigley

Eugene, Ind. - Dolly Doris Wigley, 87, of Eugene, passed away at 6:18 p.m. EST Sunday, December 4, 2011 at her residence. She was born October 24, 1924 in Danville, Illinois the daughter of the late Elmer and Atha Watson Caster. She first married Forrest Ross. He preceded her in death in 1967. She later married Clarence W. Wigley on May 12, 1968 in Cayuga, Indiana. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1990. Survivors include two stepsons, Gerald Ross of Chicago, Illinois and Donald L. Wigley of Eugene, Indiana; two grandsons, Nick Ross of Munster, Indiana and Donald W.(Karen)Wigley of Cayuga, Indiana; two granddaughters, Lisa Bradford of Ft. Myers, Florida and Natalie Reck of Jamesville, Wisconsin; one great grandson, D.J. Wigley of Cayuga, Indiana; three nieces, Sondra(Oscar)Valdez of Danville, Illinois; Atha(Michael)Devine and Sue Hush both of Hobart, Indiana. Doris was preceded in death by three sisters, Daisy Hush; Estella Caster and Freda Wigley; and one brother, Johnny Caster and daughter-in-law, Gloria Wigley. Doris was a housekeeper in the Cayuga area for many years last working at the Cayuga Post Office and Town Hall. She was a member of the Eugene United Methodist Church and attended the #11 Horseshoe Church. Doris enjoyed playing BUNCO, attending flea markets and driving around with her best friend, Mary Jane Hawn. Funeral services: 2 p.m. EST Friday, December 9, 2011 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Jon Overbey; Burial: Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Indiana; Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. EST Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the funeral home.
