Diana Kay Loschen

Diana Kay Loschen, 61 of Danville Il passed away October 4, 2025 peacefully in her sleep. Diana was born September 6, 1964, the daughter of Gayle Loschen and Gail “Charlene” Sisney.

Diana is survived by her mother Gail (Bob) Sisney, brother Rick (Connie) Loschen, Harold Loschen, and Robert (Malissa) Weiser, daughter Melissa (Adam) Wood, son Joshua (Sarah) Loschen, grandchildren Kaleb Scaggs, Brady Wood, Harmony Thayer, Lyla Wood, Tatum Loschen, Evelyn Loschen, Ariana Burke, and Matthew Burke, many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, along with a very dedicated cousin Kristen Dunn.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Lily Tatum and Charles Hagan, father Gayle Loschen, and her two precious sons David Thayer Jr. and Jeremiah Thayer.

Diana worked at the Oakwood truck stop while attending college. After finishing college, she worked as a pharmacy technician for Walmart pharmacy, where she dedicated many years serving her community with care, patience, and kindness.

Diana’s greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. She was a devoted grandmother who was present for every birth and major milestone in their lives. She was not only dedicated to her own but many other children known her as “Granny”. Another special title she had was, Aunt Diamond, because she loved her nieces and nephews so very much.

Diana loved flea markets, strolls on the beach, crocheting, and sitting on her front porch with her friends who always went above and beyond for their dear friend Diana.

A celebration of life will take place at Sunset Funeral Home, 414 S. State st. Westville, Il 61883 on October 10, 2025. The visitation will begin at 1pm, service at 2pm, followed by a dinner at the Westville American Legion. Memorial donations can be made to the funeral home to aid with funeral expenses.
