Devin Scott Robbins, age 14, passed away on December 9th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and quiet strength that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.
If you were meeting Devin for the first time, the very first thing you’d notice was his heart — gentle but unwavering, one of the kindest hearts anyone could ever encounter. He had a natural way of caring for people, often putting others before himself, not out of obligation, but because generosity was woven into who he was. Even in his last weeks, when life asked more of him than any child should ever have to bear, Devin chose love. He chose to lift his family, to give back to them, and to let his compassion speak louder than his pain.
Devin’s spirit was creative, clever, and effortlessly authentic. He approached life with a sense of fun and curiosity, often surprising people with his humor and his unexpected brilliance. One of the memories that captures Devin’s pure, adventurous heart comes from his early childhood: at just five years old, he and his twin brother Brayden pushed open their bedroom window, popped out the screen, and wandered over to the neighbor’s house — determined to impress the teenage girl they both had a crush on. That mixture of innocence, boldness, and brotherly loyalty stayed with him throughout his life.
He adored music, especially Linkin Park, and found both expression and refuge in the sounds that shaped him. He loved playing Fortnite, coloring in adult coloring books, or watching YouTube shorts. But above all, Devin loved his family — deeply, fiercely, and without hesitation. His connections with his siblings formed the center of his world, each bond unique and filled with love.
Devin is forever treasured by his mother, Amy; his father, Ryan; and his siblings, Zach, Brayden, Colton, and Isla. He will be remembered for his warmth, his generosity, his spark of humor, and the gentle strength that made him truly one of a kind.
His life, though heartbreakingly brief, was full of meaning. Devin gave more love in fourteen years than many people manage in a lifetime. His legacy lives on in every person he touched — through kindness, through laughter, and through a heart that will continue to inspire.
A Celebration to honor Devin's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Briks Pizzeria, 1705 Patton Drive, Mahomet, IL, Illinois.
