Derek A. Baker, 41, of Ridge Farm, IL passed away at 5:42 a.m. Friday July 30, 2004 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. He was born on September 13, 1962 in Danville, IL the son of Max and Zealie Lourdeau Baker. He married Tammy Collom on July 28, 1984 in Ridge Farm. She survives. Also surviving: two daughters, Jera and Kenna Baker both of Ridge Farm; one son Zaaron Baker of Ridge Farm; one brother, Neil (Jennifer) Baker of Georgetown; three sisters, Lori Blankenship of Westville, Mona (Rick) Krankavitch of Catlin, and Tara (Erik) Hopkins of Ridge Farm; his aunt & uncle, Mary and Joe Lourdeau of Westville; mother in law, Mary Lou Collom of Ridge Farm, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one niece. Derek worked as a salesman form Carter Lumber for eleven years. He was a Nascar and Mark Martin fan. He enjoyed bowling and bowled the first ever perfect game at Ridgeway Lanes in Ridge Farm. He also coached the AJ Cook Trucking youth baseball team in Georgetown.
