Denver Carl Ball, 74, of Georgetown, passed away at 11:25pm, Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville, IL. He was born on July 13, 1944 the son of Donald M. Ball and Margaret {Tingler} Ball in Big Springs, West Virginia. He was united in marriage to Ellen Krause on June 14, 1969 in Geneva, OH. She will miss him dearly.
He will also be missed by: his mother, Margaret Ball; his daughters, Kristen (Fernando) Ocampo, Ashley Ball, & Sarah Ball; his sister, Donna (David) Wagner; his grandchildren, Markus Waterman, Morelia Ball, Alex Ball, Natalia Ocampo, Nemo Ocampo, Gunner Becker, & Katalaya Becker; and his mother-in-law, Marilyn Krause. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald; his father-in-law, Elmer Krause; and his brother-in-law, Bill Krause.
Denver worked for TeePak as a chemist in Danville. He loved golf, gardening, and his favorite holiday was Christmas; he was always Santa without the costume. He loved watching all kinds of sports. He also was a member for over 25 years at the South Side Church of Christ where he served as Treasurer, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Youth Sponsor. Denvers highest priority was his family whom he adored and cherished.
A celebration of Denvers life will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Georgetown, located at 200 E West ST. Visitation will be held 4pm-7pm, Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery.
