Dennis Lee Taylor

Dennis Lee Taylor, 64, of Covington, IN went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2018 at home with his family by his side after a lengthy illness. He was born on September 26, 1953 in Danville, IL the son of Lewis M. Cecil (Kirby) Taylor. He married Janet L. Frink on November 20, 2015 at First Assembly of God in Covington. She survives. Dennis is survived by wife, Janet, son, Zac (Jennifer) Taylor of Indianapolis, IN, 3 grandchildren; Madie Taylor, Parker Taylor and Chase Stull, 2 brothers; Larry (Connie) Taylor of Terre Haute, IN, Robert (Lesley) Taylor Covington, IN, 2 sisters; Janice (Bill) Kovacic of Covington, IN, Cindy (Dave) Denman of Waynetown, IN, 2 step-sons; Ryan (Becky) Stull of Covington, IN, Christopher Stull of Lafayette, IN, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by parents, brother, Gary Taylor and great nephew, Laine Kovacic. Dennis worked at Steel Grip in Covington for 35 years. He graduated from Covington High School in 1971. The true athlete Dennis played football, basketball and baseball in school. He enjoyed playing golf with Bob and Brian Brewer, Brad Myrick, Doc Green and Bob Taylor. Dennis and Janet were members of First Assembly of God in Covington. He also loved playing and singing music at Wallace Opry House. A celebration of life memorial service for Dennis will be held at 4:00 PM EST on Monday, February 5, 2018 at First Assembly of God in Covington, IN with Pastor Bob Fairchild officiating. Visitation will be from 3-4 PM prior to the service. Per Dennis' wishes he will be cremated and laid to rest at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington at a later date. Sunset's Covington Chapel is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials can be left in his name to the Benevolence Fund at First Assembly of God.
