Dennis George Hughes

Danville Dennis George Hughes, 61, of Danville passed away at 6:50 PM on September 10, 2020 at his home in Danville.

Dennis was born on February 18, 1959 the son of Joseph Audley and Doris "Betty" (Hall) Hughes in Danville, IL.

Dennis is survived by his mother, Betty Bishop of Urbana, IL, his father, Joseph Hughes of Florida, two daughters, April (Justin) Stein of Danville, IL and Chelsey Haga of Danville, IL, one grandson, Jameson Lucas Heymuth of Danville, IL as well as special friend, Gary Sturgeon of Danville, IL and several nieces and nephews.

Dennis is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and two brothers, Gary Hughes and Rodney Hughes.

Dennis attended the Assembly of God Church in Danville. He loved his dogs and enjoyed riding his motorized bicycles. He was a people person and had a great sense of humor and was very outgoing.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements. As per Dennis wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
